Collection: Alice Trescarte
Based in Montreuil, Alice approaches ceramics as a field of plastic and technical research.
His creations, crafted from blocks of sandstone sculpted using an approach inspired by Japanese kurinuki, reveal a raw and tactile work. Each removal of material by the tool leaves a graphic imprint, highlighting the dialogue between gesture and material.
The pieces, then enameled with mixtures of plant ash and oxides, reveal unpredictable textures and patterns, evidence of the artisanal process.
