Table Width

The Weite table explores the distance between people sitting at the same table.
Square, and designed for four diners, its proportions are intentionally
generous. Each side is designed to accommodate one person in its center;
because as you approach the edges, the variable chamfer gradually moves the
useful surface of the tabletop away, while the 45-degree angled legs gently push
the body towards the center of each side.
The table thus imposes its own silent etiquette: one sits in the middle,
never at the corner.
The name Weite (distance, expanse, in German) refers to this space that the
table creates between those who share it.
